Our 62' Cruising Cat (Design # 067), which was being outfitted by her owners in Nelson, was finally ready in mid January to set off on her homeward bound voyage to the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, USA.
Formalities complete she left on 19th January bound for Easter Island via the Southern Ocean. Despite very little sea-trialling time the voyage was completed without fuss. As of this posting she has made port in the Galapagos, arriving some ten hours after the 8.8 magnitude Chilean earthquake on 28th February.
