2009 was a difficult year for many people around the world, necessitating readjustments on many levels. It was no different for us here at de Villiers Design as we coped with the recession as well as personal upheavals.
For the past 10 years our office has been located in Auckland but recently the lure of the beautiful Bay of Islands has proved too strong. Since early February the shores of the spectacular Kerikeri Inlet now frames the view from the office window, providing inspiration for what we hope will be a continuation of our past endeavours. And a more frequent updating schedule for this website!!
The Bay of Islands is a world famous cruising destination & a paradise for all types of boating/watersports. We will soon reinstate the mooring just metres off the beach at the bottom of our garden, enabling cruising visitors and clients to "call right in"! Currently we are enjoying the company of "LISO" & Bob Shenk (Design # 043) who arrived in NZ late in 2009 after crossing the Pacific from the US West Coast/Mexico.
